It’s 2019 and many young people are deciding to opt for apprenticeships over going to uni – being paid to learn while developing skills that you can use for life, what’s not to love about that? In this blog, Solvo Vir will delve deeper into exploring apprenticeships as a career, and why such a high volume of people are choosing to complete apprenticeships after college.
Why an apprenticeship?
Instead of being crippled with debt whilst you complete your qualification, as is the case for many students and university graduates, apprenticeships allow people the freedom of earning a well-deserved salary as they learn valuable skills for life and, in some cases, achieve a recognised qualification. Choosing an apprenticeship as a career would also offer you hands-on, real life work experience in a busy and professional environment. The benefit of this being, that once you start your career, you already have the skills and abilities needed for everyday work life.
Solvo Vir trainers are highly skilled and experienced in the fields that they specialise in – and have the testimonials to prove it! Helen Jones, who took on Level 3 Management qualification, stated that the training ‘increased her self-awareness’ and that she ‘gained a better understanding of the principles of business’.
We also offer many qualifications across a breadth of industries, depending on which industry you would like to enter into. All cater for various levels of experience, which allows the learner to proceed at a pace that suits them. We provide a focus on developing exceptional service in your chosen field, and mentor our learners on how to progress in the future.
Apprenticeships as a career
At Solvo Vir, our Leadership and Management apprenticeships are specially designed to inspire confidence to lead in young people. When completing a degree, the prospect of managing a team may seem decades away and highly daunting. However, with our Leadership and Management apprenticeships, learners achieve their Apprenticeship feeling ready prepared for the challenges of work and the ability to motivate and inspire.
Another example is our Medical Business Administrator Apprenticeship which offers a great step into a career in Clinical Management or even Nursing
If you decide that more training is required once you begin the adventure of your new career, Solvo Vir provide in-house training. This helps learners to brush up on their skills, or to offer the boost you need to reach out for that promotion you have had your eye on. This training works around your day-to-day role, meaning that you wouldn’t have to make any compromises along the way.
