Solvo Vir Win Award for Innovative & Inspirational case study at the HCUK Skills Success Awards
HCUK celebrated student success at their annual awards ceremony which saw twenty-eight awards presented to deserving winners. Members of the Solvo Vir ESF team attended the event to celebrate the success of the Humber 2019 Skills Support for the Workforce contract at North Lindsey College in Scunthorpe.
HCUK welcomed special guest speaker Tom Bunday, who appeared on The Apprentice 2018, who shared his life story and discussed the secrets to his success with the future professionals alongside presenting the awards.
Celebrating success for students
The celebration provides the opportunity for students to celebrate their achievements with friends, tutors, peers and family. HCUK is proud of the immense success experienced by students this year, with the event also recognising the diligent work of staff and employers. The event, hosted by North Lindsey College, looked back at the project and explained how 97% of its target had been achieved, as well as the impact felt across the region.
Solvo Vir was honoured to receive the award for the most “innovative & inspirational case study” award for one of our female construction workers, Katerina Skova. Katrina completed a L2 NVQ Diploma in Passive Fire Protection and completed in February this year.
She said “This training will open up many more opportunities for me. I have found it challenging but extremely rewarding and am so happy that I now have a recognised qualification.”
