What qualifications are required for customer service?
For a customer service role, often employees only need to be educated to high school level and obtain good verbal, writing and communication skills. However, NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Customer Service can be taken and are ideally suited for anyone in a customer service role, from entry-level staff to senior staff members.
The above two Customer Service Qualifications can be taken by candidates with no prior qualifications and suitable for all ages from 16+. Whether it’s verbal, written or digital interaction with business customers, these two qualifications provide an in-depth understanding into achieving exceptional customer service. It teaches you how to achieve the highest of standards of service, providing your staff with all of the confidence required for their customer service duties.

What a customer service apprenticeship involves
At Solvo Vir we deliver high quality apprenticeships, and when we say our customer service qualifications can be the tipping point of good to excellent customer service, we mean it. Our customer service qualifications could be ideally suited to you, especially if you are currently in a customer-service role within your company or if you are a business wanting to develop your existing workforce.
Our two customer service qualifications can suit virtually anyone working in customer service, from entry level positions to managing the overall customer service strategy. Our two qualifications are as follows:
Level 2 – Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship
Customer Service Trainee, Receptionist or Customer Service Advisor, are all common job titles who participate in our Level 2 Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship programme teaches industry-focussed knowledge and skills, learn how to demonstrate expert communication with customers and provide a personalised customer service in-line with company values.
The only entry requirements needed are that all applicants must be 16+, eligibility to work in England and in a customer-facing job role. Applicants who have not already achieved Level 2 English and Maths will need to do so before the End Point Assessment.
Level 3 – Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship
Our Level 3 Apprenticeship is more suited for those in more senior customer-service roles. This course will take applicants through a series of modules which cover aspects of a senior customer-facing role. Upon completion of the programme, staff will have developed highly beneficial skills and take away City and Guilds Level 3 Certification in Customer Service.
